Paws at the View

On Sunday 3 July, Epping Forest City of London put on a fabulous doggy day at The View, Chingford. The dog show saw lots of beautiful local dogs and their proud owners trotting round the ring in glorious sunshine. The winner, Stella the staffie, was both the crowd and judges’ favourite. WF4Dogs had a stall at the event for the first time, and it was lovely to meet more members from the north of the borough. Thank you to the organisers and everyone who came out and joined us. Here are some photos of the day.

Meeting with DET, 21 April 2016

We had a productive meeting with Waltham Forest’s Dog Enforcement Team, where we raise and discuss issues of concern to dog owners in the borough. These are our notes: DET meeting notes 21 April 2016

See our Campaigns page for background on the issues.

AGM, 16 March 2016

2016-03-16 21.25.26

Our 2016 AGM was enjoyed by all, especially Oslo. Click through for our minutes.

AGM next Wednesday – 16 March, 7.30pm, The Bell

Our AGM is a week today – 16 March, 7.30pm, at The Bell pub in Walthamstow. This is where we report back on what we’ve been up to for the past twelve months, and decide our priorities for the next. It’s also a great chance to catch up with everyone in person.
We also have the sad news that this is Mark Fisher’s last meeting as Chair. He is standing down due to work commitments, so we will be electing a new chair and new committee member.
Sarah Mooney has been nominated as Chair. Sarah has been with WF4Dogs from the beginning, and many will know her as a Lloyd Park dog walker. Carly Clarke has been nominated for the committee. She is often to be found dog walking on Walthamstow Marshes and has been a supportive member of WF4Dogs for some time.
If anyone else would like to nominate a committee member, check they are agreeable and let us know – they need to be a dog owner living in Waltham Forest, and share our desire to make Waltham Forest a better place for responsible dog owners. Being on the committee includes duties such as: attending committee meetings and meetings with WF Council, getting involved with WF4Dogs events, sharing info about lost and found dogs, monitoring the Facebook page, etc. It can be a varied and unpredictable workload (and of course is unpaid).
The agenda is below, and it would be wonderful to see you there.
